Voluntary Support Terms

Voluntary Support Terms

Effective date: 18 October 2026. These terms apply when you make a payment on 1prayer.app/support, and when you give support inside the One Prayer One Moment app through Google Play.

One Prayer One Moment is free for everyone. If you choose to, you can make a voluntary payment to support the work of building and running it: a one-off payment on this website, or a one-off tip or monthly support in the app through Google Play. Here is exactly what that means.

1. Who you are paying

Your payment goes to Grizelda De Nobrega, trading as Infinite Horizon Apps, a sole proprietor in South Africa, who develops and runs One Prayer One Moment. Contact: the contact form or [email protected]. See the legal information page. When you pay in the app, Google collects the payment through Google Play and passes it on to us after keeping Google’s service fee.

2. What it is, and what it is not

  • It is a voluntary payment for the work of creating, hosting, recording, translating and improving the app.
  • It is not a donation to a charity, church or non-profit organisation, and Infinite Horizon Apps is not a registered public benefit organisation.
  • It is not tax-deductible, and no section 18A or other tax receipt can be issued.
  • Nothing is bought. No goods are delivered, and no service, feature, content, status or benefit is unlocked. The app works exactly the same, free, whether or not you pay.
  • On this website, and for one-off tips in the app, it is a one-off payment. You will not be charged again unless you choose to pay again.
  • Monthly support (in the app only) is a Google Play subscription. It renews every month, at the price shown when you chose it, until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions); after you cancel, you are not charged again.
  • Paying does not give you any say over, ownership of, or share in the app, and does not create a partnership or employment relationship.

3. Amount and currency

You choose the amount: R50, R100, R500, or another whole amount from R2 to R10 000. The amount you choose is the full amount we charge; we add no fees. Payments are charged in South African rand (ZAR). If your card is from outside South Africa, your bank converts the amount into your currency, and any exchange rate, conversion or foreign-transaction fees are set and charged by your own bank, not by us.

In the app, the options are a one-off tip of R20, R50, R100 or R500, or monthly support of R20, R50 or R100 a month. Google Play shows each price in your local currency and may set local prices or include taxes; the price Google Play shows before you confirm is the price you pay.

4. How payment works

On this website:

  • When you press “Continue to secure payment”, you are sent to Yoco’s secure hosted payment page. Yoco is a South African payment provider. Card payments are processed by Yoco and its banking partners under Yoco’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Before you pay, Yoco’s page shows the amount. You can check it, go back to change it, or cancel without paying. Nothing is charged until you confirm the payment on Yoco’s page.
  • Your card details go directly to Yoco. This website never sees or stores your card details. We keep only a payment record (Yoco’s reference numbers, amount, currency and date), as explained in the Privacy Policy.
  • After a successful payment you return to a thank-you page. If Yoco asks for your email address, Yoco may send you a payment confirmation, which is your record of the payment. You can also ask us for a written confirmation of your payment through the contact form.
  • Payments are processed using encrypted connections (HTTPS), and the payment page is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile against automated abuse.

In the app (Google Play):

  • Payment is made through Google Play’s billing system, under Google Play’s terms and the Google Privacy Policy. Google shows the price and asks you to confirm before anything is charged, and Google sends you the receipt.
  • Google processes your payment details. The app and our server never see or store your card or payment details, and the app does not send purchase information to our server. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Nothing is unlocked: the app stays exactly the same whether or not you give support.

5. Mistakes and refunds

Because the payment is voluntary and nothing is bought, payments are generally not refundable. However, if you made a genuine mistake (for example, you paid the wrong amount or paid twice), please contact us through the contact form or [email protected] within 14 days of the payment, with the date, the amount and the Yoco reference or confirmation if you have it. Refunds are at our discretion, and we will treat genuine mistakes fairly. Approved refunds are made through Yoco to the card used, and it may take a number of working days for your bank to show the refund. We cannot refund any conversion or foreign-transaction fees charged by your own bank.

Payments made in the app are handled by Google Play. You can ask for a refund through Google Play under Google’s refund policies, or contact us within 14 days with the date, amount and Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.” and is on Google’s receipt); we can refund genuine mistakes through Google Play at our discretion. Cancelling monthly support stops future payments; payments already made for past months are not refunded unless they were a genuine mistake.

If you think a payment was made without your permission, please contact your bank and us straight away.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you may have under South African law that cannot be excluded, including under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where they apply.

6. Who can pay

You should be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian, and you must be authorised to use the card you pay with.

7. How the money is used

Support helps pay for hosting and servers, recordings, translations, equipment and the time spent developing the app. It is income of Infinite Horizon Apps and is used at its discretion; we do not promise any specific project in return.

8. Complaints and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will try to sort it out quickly and fairly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The general Terms of Use also apply.
